What's on next week: October 9-15

What a week we have coming up! With both European Microwave Week and our Asean User Conference, we are excited to see many of you in person. EUMW features our modeling challenge, a virtual reality experience, plus conference talks from CST experts and demonstrations on measurement and simulation. See you next week!

CubeSat Antenna Design

For CubeSats, antenna size and weight is a critical factor for RF performance, structural considerations, aerodynamic and thermal performance. This webinar reviews modern trends of antennas on CubeSats, demonstrating how software tools such as Antenna Magus and CST STUDIO SUITE can be used to address antenna design challenges.

EuMW 2017

Nuremberg, Germany
8th - 13th October 2017

CST will be exhibiting at European Microwave Week in Nuremburg, Germany at booth #105. In addition, CST staff will be presenting talks at the conference. Come by to discuss your simulation requirements and to see the benefits EM simulation offers in microwave and RF design.

Modeling Challenge

In the CST Modeling Challenge, participants are asked to design and optimize a filter. All successful entrants will receive a Lebkuchen heart- a local Nuremburg delicacy – and will be entered into a prize draw, with the results announced on Wednesday at 16:30. For those who want to fine-tune their skills in advance, students can download a copy of CST STUDIO SUITE Student Edition.

Conference Talks

CST staff and customers will be giving talks throughout the conference. CST highlights at the conference are:

WS-15, The Basics of Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers: “Traveling Wave Tube Design with Simulation” with Monika Balk

Sunday, October 8th
Room Neu Delhi

EuMC46-1, Industrial Session Keynote:“Multi-Scale Electromagnetic Simulation from Component to System Level” with Timo Euler

Thursday, October 12th
Room Prag

Measurement & Simulation

Although often thought of as competing, measurement and simulation can complement each other, allowing deeper and more accurate analysis of devices and systems. Staff from the CST lab, in collaboration with Rohde + Schwarz, will be on hand to demonstrate how measurement and simulation work together.

Virtual Reality

At the virtual reality demo, you can enter the simulation and explore in 3D. Whether investigating wifi coverage or walking along the traces of a PCB, virtual reality offers an intuitive, immersive way to understand simulation.

EPEPS 2017

San Jose, United States
15th - 18th October 2017

EPEPS is one of the premier international conference on advanced and emerging issues in electrical modeling, analysis and design of electronic interconnections, packages and systems. It also focuses on new methodologies and design techniques for evaluating and ensuring signal, power and thermal integrity in high-speed designs. EPEPS is sponsored by the IEEE Electronics Packaging Society.

EMC Measurement and Simulation

CST and Rohde & Schwarz
10th October 2017
Lisbon, Portugal

CST and Rohde & Schwarz, would like to invite you to attend joint workshop titled "EMC Measurement and Simulation". The workshop will be hosted at ISQ's (Instituto de Soldadura e Qualidade) Auditório. This 1 day workshop includes both a hands-on session as well as presentations aimed to give engineers an insight on how to achieve accurate simulations and show best practice guidelines to getting better measurements. Focus of the afternoon sessions will be on measurement and simulation advantages for tackling emissions problems of electronic devices.

CST ASEAN User Conference 2017

11th October 2017
Singapore, Singapore

Join us for an exciting opportunity to learn about the latest developments in 3D electromagnetic simulation. The CST ASEAN User Conference 2017 will give design and research engineers an insight into the latest 3D simulation technology for designing electromagnetic components and systems using CST STUDIO SUITE® 2017. It will include presentations as well as live software demos that will be beneficial for both novice and experienced users.
